Become a streamer on Twitch by choosing the best equipment, be it a PC, microphone, webcam, etc. We are here today to give you all the advice and tips that you need to be a streamer.

Let's get started!

How to Get Started on Twitch

Have you created your Twitch channel, and you want to get into wild lives? If you already have a YouTube gaming channel with a community of subscribers, or you are a pure neophyte, you will need a minimum of equipment to stream correctly.

What Equipment Do I Need to Stream on Twitch?

Before hoping to become a reputable influencer capable of attracting a large number of viewers with each live stream, or even a champion of affiliation and affiliate links, you must be able to broadcast your stream with good quality, without a cut. For this, it will be necessary to invest in good quality equipment to stream effectively on Twitch.

We will focus on the hardware, but don't forget that you will also need to install good streaming software and, of course, Twitch mobile or desktop apps! You must also have a stable, high-speed internet connection. For live streaming in high definition, the minimum bit rate is 3.5 Mbps. Having the fiber is ideal here and you can even add a router to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Hardware for Streaming on Twitch

To perfectly master Twitch, it is best to opt for a PC. Macs are poorly suited to video games, and in particular to their live broadcasting. For a channel moving away from gaming, a Mac remains a viable option, but it remains less flexible than a PC. On the other hand, if you simply want to host a video game-oriented Twitch channel, you can settle for a home console and a TV. A PlayStation (4 or 5) or an Xbox (One or Series) is enough to stream, without adding any hardware. If you want to interact with your community, you'll need to add a mic and headset, and possibly a camera. In this case, be careful to choose a camera compatible with your console (especially with a PS4 or PS5).
